9 Months

July 29th 2011 -  Dantley turned 9 months old today!
He has perfected his speed crawl, he cruises along furniture and smiles and giggles a lot.
We didn't have a chance to take "good" pictures because we spent the day driving from Lovell to Loveland.  So I just snapped a few quickly at Teri's house.

Time at the Burtons

Ashlee gave you this little walk/ride toy that was Tallon's.  You loved it and went zipping around. It seems you will be walking soon.  Daddy keeps telling me to not work with you on walking too much though because he wants to be there when you take your first steps.

Horseshoe Bend
Dantley usually loves water, but he thought this was much too cold.

July 20th 2011

Your uncle Mark got married to Jessica Dale and you received a lot of attention from your adoring cousins.  Here are a few pics of the special occasion -- and some from both of the receptions.  The one in Lehi the night after the wedding and the one in Lovell on July 23rd.

While we were in the temple for the sealing, my cousin Stephanie Bernstein stayed in the hotel with you, Trey, Tamsyn and Tasha.  All the other cousins stayed in the hotel too, and walked over after the ceremony for pictures on the temple grounds.  Journee loves to help take care of you and you and I both love her for it :)

The entire family!
We learned that juggling 4 kids while trying to take photos at a reception is not an easy task.
Your uncles like to feed you junk

Great Grandma Putnam

I want that!

All the cousins with Mark and Jess!
You like Uncle Rob a lot -- my theory for why is that he is tall and has glasses like your dad

Quick Stop in Meridian

We arrived in Meridian Saturday night after a fairly pleasant drive (during which we saw many many rainbows -- maybe even the fattest brightest rainbow I have ever seen in my life... I really should have pulled over and taken a picture).  We got to stay with Grandpa Bill and Grandma Alyce until Tuesday morning, so as usual our time there was packed with fun -- Hula hoop making, school supply shopping, playing in the sprinklers, a bonfire and of course a mule ride.

This is a regular sight with Dantley and Trey.

Dantley sat on my feet in the pasture while I took pictures of the other kids riding mules.

Tasha got a scolding for letting the mule eat and Tamsyn almost got an extra ride.  The saddle was promptly tightened.

Not sure what to think --

Nothing like a hot fire on a hot July night.  I guess when s'mores are involved it doesn't matter what the temperature is.  Our time in Meridian was brief, but as always we had a great time.

Through Tasha's Eyes

Someday you can thank Natasha for taking such great personality pictures of you with her camera.  You have quickly surpassed Scotty the cat and Kodiak the guinea pig as her favorite subject.
No worries -- this is a clean plunger from a game :)

Dantley's First Camping Trip

We decided to go camping over the 4th of July weekend this year.  It was Dantley's first time and he loved it.  Sleeping in the tent was a little rough though -- especially with an air mattress with a slow leak.  After a very uncomfortable first night Dantley and I moved to the van to sleep.  We put all the seats down and set up his pack and play inside and I slept next to it -- still not quite like our bed at home, but much better than the leaky air mattress.

My vote was to go home on the evening of the 3rd -- but I told Tamsyn if she let me pull her loose tooth out, I would stay.  Well - she really wanted to stay, to the tooth was pulled :)

We made it home on the afternoon of the 4th and went to the Pace family's 4th of July party.  You hung out in the front-pack while daddy held the rope for the finish line for the sack races.
You didn't seem to be scared at all by the fireworks and loud noises.  Just chillin' and being your normal mellow happy self.
