Jake took the kids to church while Dantley and I stayed home to get more needed rest. After church we decided to carve our pumpkins. We had planned on doing it earlier in the week, but for obvious reasons had more important things come up. Tamsyn's pumpkin and my pumpkin hadn't survived the rain and delay very well. They were a bit soggy and starting to rot. So much to miss T's dismay we weren't able to carve them and painted them instead.
The girls are so excited to help take care of their little brother. Natasha wants to hold him all of the time and if she hears him make a peep she runs to his side to make sure he is alright. She even has turned down playing with friends so she can be home with the new baby.
Tamsyn also loves to help with him and hold him. She likes to fix his blankets and make sure he is a cozy as can be.
While I helped the kiddos finish carving (Tamsyn didn't need help painting) -- Jake made his traditional dinner in a pumpkin.
We decided to hand out candy and light our pumpkins even though the kids weren't going to trick-or-treat.
The kids put their costumes on and fought over whose turn it was to hand out candy to the few trick-or-treaters we ended up having.
