Starting Tuesday Jake went back in to work in the mornings and came home after lunch. It was nice to have him around to help with the other kids and fix dinner. Tuesday there was a luncheon for several of the espectant mothers in our ward. I was supposed to be one of them, but decided it was too soon to take Dantley out to a crowd. Carol Glenn brought by a few gifts and a gift card for Dantly to Babies R Us from the party after it was over. Natasha had piano after school and her teacher, Shauna Miner brought her home and came in for a second. We got a laugh because her kids were more interested in our cat Scotty than they were in meeting Dantley. She could see I was on the emotional side and told us she would bring dinner by the next day. She is amazing that way, just does things without being assigned. I need to be more like that. Later in the evening our friend Salina stopped by and brought some freezer meals for us to use when things got busy and we didn't feel like cooking. She doesn't belong to our church, but is another great example of great kindness and doing something without ever being asked. The whole week Arlene (a neighbor with a daughter in Tamsyn's class)picked Tamsyn up from the bus stop and walked her home for me. Later in the week my two new visiting teachers brought us meals, Brigette came for a visit and brought Dantley two really nice homemade blankets and some personalized onsies. Erika and Sister Fuller also came by and brought gifts.
Tamsyn holding 5 day old Dantley - Wednesday November 3rd
Dantley squeaks, grunts and hiccoughs a lot -- He gets the hiccoughs several times a day. Tamsyn giggles when she hears him. She says he sounds like a mouse.
Here the girls are taking care of their little brother again. Natasha knows reading to him is a good thing :)
