Yes, it is true. Dantley is 6 months old already.

Jake ended up taking him to the Doctor this time because I was sick. He had a couple of shots, but wasn't to phased by it. The Dr. commented that he is quite strong and that with how much he moves, he may be a handful (we had already guessed that might be the case).
And with 6 months comes the joy and mess of adding solids.
We jumped the gun a little with him because for several weeks now he reaches and grunts at us whenever we are eating. It is like he is yelling at us to give him some. He seemed more than ready, so on Easter since we were feasting we decided to mix a little rice cereal up for him.
He spit almost every bit of it out and made faces to let us know he was well aware that we were feeding him something different than we were eating.
On his 6 month mark we tried again -- with little more success, but much better pictures.
This is how he really feels about this mush!
He is happy that we are trying, but still not to happy with the flavor. I guess I shouldn't have snuck him a taste of ice cream earlier.
Six months is such a fun age. Dantley is such a little person now. He is always on the go, rolling around and scooting, putting everything he can find in his mouth. He loves to try and eat paper and if he sees a cord he tries to gnaw on it before we snatch it from him. He is quite a happy little guy despite still having lots of painful looking issues with the skin on his cheeks. It is a never ending cycle of tiny blisters, scratches, redness that slowly heals and then comes right back. He likes to squeal and make tongue noises. Tasha has taught him how to hug. She holds her arms out to him and he does the same and then squeezes. He still doesn't sleep much. Once in a while he will take a long nap, but at night it is rare for him to sleep over 4 hours. He likes to be in the action and doesn't hold still even when he is eating.
